An Engineering Education Makes a World of Difference
This website by the Center for the Advancement of Scholarship on Engineering Education (CASEE) highlights role models who have used an engineering education to innovate products, processes, and services that improve human health, welfare, and happiness. Twice a week for each week from Monday, January 31, 2011 through Thursday, July 14, 2011 they will release a new video (less than 30 seconds long) to the web. The videos can also be "pushed" to individual cell phones. Site visitors can upload their own videos of role model engineers to be considered for addition to the site. In addition to the role models, the site provides links to other sites that explain what engineering is and where visitors can find out more about engineering. Text "CASEE" to 21534 to subscribe to the twice-weekly videos or visit the website and click on the blue ribbon in the top right corner to upload a video of your own.
