It always brings a great deal of excitement to all of us here at the National Academy of Engineering when we are able to post the details of our newest EngineerGirl! contest. We look forward to reading the creative and thoughtful essays submitted by our many website visitors.
This year's contest focuses on food. You may know that President Obama signed the Food Safety Modernization Act into law this January, or you may have heard about some contaminated cataloupe in your local grocery store. These issues affect all of us because, well, we all need to eat! So what do engineers have to do with it? Read the contest announcement to find out.
